2nd July 2018

Ibiza is obviously known for partying and not a holiday that you go on with your parents but, it was one of the most blissful holidays I have ever had and one of the most beautiful islands, too. I am lucky enough to have a family who are unbelievably organised and have a weird knack for finding the most incredible villas in any country that we visit.

This villa made the whole experience for me. I know that a lot of people hate just staying in one place and want to explore the culture and the country but, for me it is experiencing a whole new life in a whole new way, in a different place and getting used to a new way of living for a week. As well as the fact that everyone knows what it is like to try to be a tourist with your family - a bloody nightmare.

I would love to go back to Ibiza, explore the island again, stay in the old town and just be more immersed in the culture. However, like I said, going with family there is a lot of different personalities to please so we always have to go with something neutral. Despite this I do like the idea of having something lavish and fancy on holiday so you can relax. The whole idea of taking a break is that you actually take a break from the strains that you might feel in your reality.

I am a firm believer in doing nothing - actually giving your mind, body and spirit a break. I personally think that is the only way that you can feel calm and rejuvenate. Most of the time it is hard for me to do that because, despite what some people may think, I like being busy and I am very easily bored.

Now, I don’t actually have any pictures of the old town, why? because I’m an idiot and honestly I was so immersed in the glory of it. It's honestly beautiful to see people living in an old-fashioned way with no wi-fi, no iPhones, no flat screen TV’s and honestly, not much technology at all. I don’t think I would be able to survive it after living in this world for so long but I would love more than anything to live like that for a couple of weeks or even a month, completely immersed in the culture. So please, to understand the feels that I have right now please google ‘old town Ibiza’ and you will understand why this Island is worth visiting and more than just a bad hangover waiting to happen.
